Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Alvro, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Alvro, Inc. operates a peer-to-peer car-rental marketplace that connects vehicle owners ("hosts") with people who want to rent a vehicle ("guests"). Alvro is not a party to any rental agreement between a host and guest, except where Alvro provides protection coverage as stated in our protection plans.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old to book or list a vehicle on Alvro. You must hold a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and pass our identity and risk checks. We may decline service at our discretion.

4. Account

You are responsible for the security of your Alvro account, the accuracy of your account information, and all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

5. Bookings & payments

When you book a car, you authorize Alvro to charge your payment method for the total price quoted at checkout, including the rental, trip fee, protection cost, extras, and applicable taxes. Cancellation refunds follow the cancellation tier displayed at booking time.

6. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional communications from Alvro (booking confirmations, trip reminders, security alerts) via email and in-app notifications. SMS communications are sent only if you opt in — see our SMS Terms.

7. Insurance & protection

Alvro provides eligible protection coverage as defined in your selected protection plan. Coverage is subject to deductibles, exclusions, and the conditions of the plan. Hosts must maintain their own auto insurance where required by state law.

8. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to misrepresent your identity, post fraudulent listings, harass other users, use the service for illegal purposes, or attempt to circumvent Alvro's fees or safety controls.

9. Disputes

Any dispute between you and Alvro will be resolved by binding arbitration in your state of residence, except where prohibited by law. You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alvro is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid Alvro in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
